1. When to get an MOT
The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards. You must get an MOT for your vehicle by either: the third anniversary of its registration or the anniversary of its last MOT, if it’s over 3 years old.
2. Earliest date you can get an MOT
An MOT lasts for a year. The date it runs out is printed on the last pass certificate. You can get an MOT up to a month (minus a day) before it runs out and keep the same renewal date.
3. If the MOT has run out
You can’t drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has run out. You can be prosecuted if caught. The only exceptions are to drive it to, or from somewhere to be repaired, or to a pre-arranged MOT test.

With our easy to use online booking system, you can arrange your MOT test at a time to suit you, we will even send you an email/SMS reminder before your test is due. Our current prices are £35.00 for Class IV or £50.00 for Class VII.
Do you drive a 3 wheeled vehicle? We also test Class 1,2 and 3 vehicles.
We can only accept Class 1/2/3 MOT tests by telephone so please call for availability.
